Saratoga First Night will have fireworks after all.

As NewsChannel 13 reported last week, organizers originally decided to cancel their fireworks show for the first time in the event's history.

Saratoga Arts - who organizes the popular year-end celebration - voiced concerns over the environmental impact and fire hazards as reasons to nix the annual light show in the sky.

After NewsChannel 13 ran a story about this decision, community members voiced their displeasure with the decision, and worked together to get a last-minute show together.

There is one major difference with this year's display. Organizers say they'll be shooting off the fireworks at 5:45, instead of midnight like usual. They say it's a much more family-friendly time.
