Second suspect accused of secret bathroom recordings arraigned

One of the two people accused of unlawful surveillance at the Great Escape and the Watervliet Price Chopper went before the judge on Thursday.

Valerie Hewitt was arraigned on an eight count indictment in Warren County.


Police accuse her of recording people with her cell phone in the bathroom at the Six Flags Great Escape.

Her attorney told the judge on Thursday that Hewitt went to police to report what she and her estranged husband did.

James Hewitt is also charged in Warren County and Watervliet. He was arraigned Wednesday.

Valarie Hewitt’s bail has been set at $5,000 cash.
