SELKIRK - More than 150 Selkirk area homes and businesses were still in the dark at lunchtime on Friday after a truck hit a utility pole on Thursday.

Police say a National Grid tractor trailer carrying a heavy load hit a pole at Route 9W and Route 396 around 10:30 Thursday morning.

No one was hurt in the crash.

Roads in that area were closed until about 3:30 Friday morning.
