It's been nearly three weeks since a leaking sewage pipe was discovered in Amsterdam and the sewage is still flowing.

The daily alerts into NewsChannel 13 say a pipe rusted out on Main Street and the contractor can't figure out how to fix it.

They have been able to slow the leak from 10 gallons a minute to a half a gallon a minute, but the sewage discharge is still running into North Chuctanunda Creek.

NewsChannel 13 has reached out to the city several times to ask about this, but no one has gotten back to us.
