Investigators: propane tanks found in home of Sheffield murder-suicide

The Berkshire County district attorney now says an accelerant was used in the murder-suicide at 1343 Home Rd. last Wednesday.

They say the evidence includes two 20-pound propane tanks found on the upper floor.

Investigators think Luke Karpinski killed his wife and three kids and intentionally set fire to the home on Wednesday before killing himself.

Police say they did not find any evidence of guns in the home.

Autopsy results were still not available on Monday. However, investigators still say there is no reason to believe the public is in danger.
