Shooting in Albany leaves one person dead, one person injured

Albany police are investigating a homicide in the city Monday night. They say two victims were shot shortly before 8 p.m. in the area of Second and Judson streets -- and one of them has died.

Dalon Blunt, 28, was shot in the chest and taken to Albany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The second victim, a 19-year-old man, was found with a gunshot wound to his foot and is expected to survive.

Anyone with information is asked to call Albany Police Detectives at (518) 462-8039 or submit an anonymous tip to Capital Region Crime Stoppers.

Albany has recorded 15 killings in 2018.
