Albany police investigate fifth reported shooting in 48 hours

Albany police are investigating a double shooting.

This is the second Albany shooting on Monday, and the fifth that’s been reported in the last 48 hours.


Police say it happened on Mount Hope Drive near South Pearl Street Monday evening.

Two men were taken to Albany Med. One was shot in the back. One was shot in the hip.

Both men are expected to be okay.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039, or submit an anonymous tip to Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
