Skeletal remains in Columbia County no longer deemed suspicious

Skeletal remains found in Stuyvesant over the weekend are no longer considered suspicious.

The bones were found just off of 1590 Route 9J on Sunday afternoon.

A pathologist and anthropologist studied the bones. They are now deemed "historic in nature."

The sheriff's department says they will release more information on Wednesday.
