Phillips and 19-year-old Nicholas Hamel are charged with first-degree manslaughter and assault. They're accused of stabbing 31-year-old Charles Werner to death Friday night.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star report Phillips confessed to the stabbing in court, saying he "only meant to stab him twice."
