Special elections in Rensselaer, Schoharie counties for vacated Assembly seats

If you live in Rensselaer or Schoharie counties, don't forget to vote on Tuesday.

There are special elections for two vacated Assembly seats. One is for the seat formerly held by Steve McLaughlin in Rensselaer County. Republican Jake Ashby is squaring off against Cindy Doran.

The other is the 102nd District in Schoharie County. The race pits Republican Chris Tague against Democrat Aidan O'Connor Jr. and Wes Laraway on the Best Choice Line.Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
