Victims continue recovering after Albany stabbing

ALBANY - Two stabbing victims continue to recover after an incident that rocked an Albany neighborhood and ended with an officer firing his weapon and killing a young man.

Police say it started as a fight on Partridge Street late Friday night. They found a woman with stab wounds. Two officers tried to help her, but they say her son continued to attack her with a knife.

Police say they told the young man, Schuyler Lake, to drop the knife. They say when he didn't listen, they fired. The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police searched the home and found Lake's uncle upstairs, also with a stab wound.
