Arrest made in deadly Saratoga Springs stabbing

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Police say an arrest has been made in a deadly stabbing. It happened in the area of Zephyr Lane on Sunday afternoon.

The victim, 46-year-old Patrick Collins of Middle Grove, was pronounced dead at Saratoga Hospital. Police say he was stabbed in the chest.

The suspect, 62-year-old Albert Mercer, has been charged with second-degree murder. He's also charged with assault and weapons possession.

Police say both men knew each other. They don't think anyone else was involved.
