SCHODACK -- A 32-year old man is in custody after a standoff with New York State Police that lasted nearly 16 hours. NYSP had arrived at the home on Schodack-Nassau Road near Nassau Lake at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

They came to serve him with a criminal contempt warrant for an incident that happened two weeks ago in Halfmoon.

The road was closed from about 6:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. while the Special Operations Response Team and a machine known as a Bearcat, nicknamed "The Rock," rolled into position outside the house. It's an armored tank-like vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident. Police say no weapons were found at the scene.
