Cohoes state of emergency lifted after colossal fire

COHOES - The state of emergency has been lifted in Cohoes, following last week's massive fire on Remsen Street.

The mayor's office says the downtown area has been reopened to traffic and pedestrians. Many businesses are back open as well.

Thirty-one buildings were affected by that fire, which police say was started when a man tried to forge a sword using a barrel fire.
