Funeral arrangements have been announced for fallen State Trooper Jeremy VanNostrand.

Calling hours will be Sunday, December 2, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mayfield Jr./Sr. High School, 27 School Street. The funeral will be Monday, December 3 at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Schenectady.

Police say Trooper VanNostrand was in his personal car, waiting to turn into the Fonda station, when he was rear-ended by a box truck and pushed into oncoming traffic. His vehicle was then hit by a pickup truck.

VanNostrand was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

He had been with New York State Police since 2012. Before that, he spent eight years as a corrections officer.

He leaves behind a wife, daughter, parents and siblings.
