Gansevoort man accused of trying to cause miscarriage on purpose

NORTHUMBERLAND - A Gansevoort man is accused of trying to cause a miscarriage on purpose in Washington County.

Investigators say 39-year-old Stephen Miller aggressively pushed on a woman's abdomen several times with closed fists.

The unborn child appears to be okay. The woman, who is 26-weeks pregnant, was treated.

Miller was later arrested in Mechanicville and is due back in Northumberland Town Court at a later date.
