Gloversville man accused of throwing kitten

A kitten is quickly recovering after a disturbing case of animal abuse.

Gloversville police arrested a 30-year-old man after they say he hit and threw a kitten. Police say Steven Riach lost his temper because the kitten urinated on the wall at his home on Fox Street.

For a time, that cat was not able to move at all. Employees at the animal shelter where the kitten is now, say it's doing much better and can walk again.

 Riach will be charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals. He was being held for arraignment.
