Storm destroys historic Amsterdam barn

AMSTERDAM - A strong storm moved through the Amsterdam area on Thursday and a piece of thoroughbred racing history came crashing down.

The remains of the Sanford Stud Farm Barn in Amsterdam were being demolished on Friday.

The national historic landmark was more than 140 years old. It crashed to the ground on Thursday night during a heavy rainstorm.
