Police investigated and say it looks like the same man did the same thing at other residences, but never got inside.

A footprint and K-9 track ends at the Valley View Apartment Complex on Johnson Road.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, about six feet tall, with a thin build, blue jacket with fur near the collar and a triangle emblem on the sleeve, dark hood and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Colonie Police at (518) 783-2744 or submit an anonymous tip to Capital Region Crime Stoppers.
