The Schenectady City School District has a warning for kids and parents. They say there have been reports of a van with a man and woman inside stopping kids near the Martin Luther King and Pleasant Valley schools and asking them about a puppy.

The school district says police are investigating the reports, which are unfounded so far.

The district sounded the alarm in a Facebook post that has since been shared hundreds of times.

They remind kids to be aware of their surroundings and only talk with people they know.

Anyone with information is asked to call their child's school.

We have contacted Schenectady police for a description of the van and the people inside.
