"I couldn't be more proud to represent the people of New York's 19th Congressional District and have this opportunity to serve," said Delgado. "I look forward to gathering with community members and leaders on Saturday to share my goals as a Congressman and hear from folks about their priorities."

During the event, Delgado expressed his concern on the government shut down. "I get to Washington in the middle of a shutdown, and I don't know how we can serve the people" he said.

Delgado assured his audience despite difficult times, he will do his best to serve all, because all are Americans.
