Swimmer missing at Great Sacandaga Lake found dead

State police tell NewsChannel 13 the swimmer that went missing over the weekend at the Great Sacandaga Lake has been found dead.

State police recovered the body Monday morning. He has been identified as Major Adams of Saratoga Springs.


Police got a call that a man who was swimming disappeared in the water Saturday night.

Authorities say he was swimming off a boat in the area near the Northampton Campground when he started to struggle and went underwater.
