Teen continues recovery after being hit by car in Troy

TROY - A 16-year-old girl was still recovering on Wednesday after she was hit by a car in Troy.

It happened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday on 8th Street between Rensselaer and Hoosick streets.

The girl was taken to the hospital with some injuries to her head and other injuries to her lower body.

Video shows the teenager walking in the middle of the road when the car comes up from behind.

Police say the driver was ticketed for unsafe speed.
