Vacant Saratoga Springs building expected to become temporary Code Blue shelter

Saratoga Springs will have a temporary Code Blue shelter this winter.

Sources tell NewsChannel 13 the city has identified a vacant building at the corner of Finley and Adelphi streets, just off South Broadway. An official announcement is expected next week.

Proponents are eager to find a temporary location because neighborhood opposition has made it difficult to find a permanent place to shelter the homeless on cold winter nights.
