A man admits to charges that he tried to kill his estranged wife in Colonie.

Thomas Caulfield pleaded guilty to attempted murder. The Albany County District Attorney's Office says he was armed with a knife and metal knuckles and stabbed his victim.

Last August, Caulfield went to the Beauty & Bliss Spa on Central Avenue and attacked her.

He was also served with an order of protection, which he violated.

Caulfield faces up to 25 years in state prison when sentenced on July 18.
