ALBANY - The beautiful weather made for a perfect day for the annual Art on Lark event on Saturday.

The summer street festival is held by the Lark Street Business Improvement District. People are able to experience different cafes, restaurants, gift shops and art vendors along Lark Street.

Vendors say it's a way to enjoy the city of Albany.

"I think it kind of brings the people together and it helps all the local businesses on the street, because sometimes Albany gets a bad rep,” said artist Kimberly Leahey. “But this is kind of like a positive side of Albany. Everybody is here to have fun."

Around 10,000 people were expected to attend the event.
