County Executive Dan McCoy named the group from Girl Scout Troop 1003 as his citizens of the month.

"It shows a lot to their peers that there's three 14-year-old teenagers that could be doing other things today on this beautiful day and they're giving back to their community and not just giving back to the community here in Albany County but to the residents , residents came outside here so excited to see the flowers being planted,” McCoy said.

The girl scouts also put flowers inside the nursing home for residents.
