Ticonderoga teen pleads not guilty to killing his friend

A Ticonderoga teen pleads not guilty in the killing of his friend back in July.

Adrian Sawyer is charged with murder and arson. He's accused of killing his friend, 15-year-old Maverick Bowman, at a home in Putnam Station, with a machete. He then allegedly tried to set the cabin on fire.

Sawyer's lawyer says the defense may pursue a defense that "extreme emotional disturbance" played a part in the incident.
