Track workers, merchants and jockeys bask in opening day glow

SARATOGA SPRINGS - We have all been to the track, sat at a picnic table and placed a few wagers. We know why it's special. However, it’s also a very special place for some of the people who work there too.

There's just something about this place. Even 155 years later, whether horseman, trainer or hatter, it is still the summer place to be.
