LANSINGBURGH -- Troy Mayor Patrick Madden faced off against his two challengers Tuesday.
The city's first mayoral debate was held at the Boys and Girls Club.
The South Troy Pool was among the most heated topics. It's been gaining attention after the city was unable to open the pool all summer.
The mayor vowed to have it reopened this year after shutting it down for the last two, but repairs took too long and it never happened.
There were also protests over the controversial death of Edson Thevenin. He was shot and killed by Sergeant Randall French three years ago. French was cleared shortly after, but a recent internal investigation found the shooting to be 'reckless' and 'unjustified.'
