Troy police investigate five hold-ups in two days

Troy police are investigating five hold-ups in the city in the past two days. They believe the same person is responsible.

A clerk at the 15th Street mini-market says the man entered his store waving a baseball bat. Then he demanded money and fled on foot up Hutton Street.

A man with a baseball bat also tried to rob the Congress Street Market in Troy on Monday, but he met strong resistance from the store clerk who was also armed with a baseball bat. The two went toe to toe and the store clerk won.

If you recognize the robbery suspect, contact Troy police.
