Troy shooting leaves toddler injured

A 2-year-old child was injured in during a shooting Friday night in Troy.

Police say it happened in the area of Middleburgh and Ninth streets.

The toddler was rushed to Albany Medical Center. Police say the boy was struck in the hand with a bullet. In went through his hand and into the interior of the car. 

The child is expected to be ok. 

There is an active investigation in progress. Those with more information are asked call the Troy Police Department at (518)-270-4402.
