Troy Turkey Troy successful despite cold weather

Everyone who participated in the Troy Turkey Troy on Thanksgiving morning deserves a big round of applause. 

More than 6,400 runners took part, despite the coldest temperature ever in the history of the event.

Runners helped raise $12,500 through online registrations and pioneer bank donated another $2,500. 

On Tuesday, that money was given to the regional food bank and Joseph's House and Shelter in Troy. 

Runners also donated almost $1,400 pounds of food, which is also a record.
