Truck hits propane tank in Washington County crash

HARTFORD - A Washington County road is back open, after a collision between a truck and propane tank.

State police tell NewsChannel 13's media partners at the Post-Star a pickup driver was pulling a trailer on Route 40 in Hartford just before 3:30 p.m. – when a driver on Route 196 cut him off.

While they didn't collide, the pickup was forced off the road.  It missed two homes, but clipped a 500-gallon propane tank that began leaking.

No one was hurt.

After the crash, the propane was being transferred from the damaged tank.
