Two dead after multi-vehicle crash in the Town of Ballston

TOWN OF BALLSTON –  The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said two people are dead after a multi-car crash in the Town of Ballston.

Authorities said it happened just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Route 67 and Finley Road. They said initial reports from the scene advised that there were a total of four vehicles involved.

The Sheriff’s Office said emergency crews were forced to use the Jaws of Life to extricate two occupants, a male and female, of one of the vehicles involved. The passenger of that vehicle was transported from the scene to Saratoga Hospital where he later died.

They said the operator of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs are a factor in the crash and it remains under investigation.
