NewsChannel 13 is told the first accident was related to the second victim who was hit on the highway. Both the female victim and the male victim were pronounced dead at Albany Med.

State Police say there was a gun found on I-90. The location on I-90 where the second victim was hit is on the ramp just over the Erie Blvd. location. That part of I-90 is a high traffic ramp close to the merger of I-787. Traffic has been backed up and will continue to be backed up as investigators do a point-by-point mapping of the area.

Police believe the driver from the first accident may have run up the side of the ramp to flee the scene.
