UAlbany will go smoke free on Wednesday.

The change includes the use of e-cigarettes.

The university had specific areas on its uptown and downtown campuses as temporary smoking areas, where smoking was permitted.

Starting Wednesday, the smoking areas are being taken out. The ban applies to students, faculty, staff, and anyone else on campus.

If you need help to quit smoking, the university also has a number of smoking cessation programs available.
