Hundreds of people run in annual 'Veterans Day Dash' on Shen campus

CLIFTON PARK - While some communities marked Veterans Day with a parade, revelers kept a somewhat different pace in Clifton Park.

Around 370 people took part in the 11th annual "Veterans Day Dash 5K" at the Shenendehowa Campus.

The race started at 10 a.m. -- and before that, dozens of children participated in a race all their own.

There were also 40 vets running.

NewsChannel 13 was well represented at the race. Jerry Gretzinger, Benita Zahn and Jim Kambrich were happy to be a part of the event that supports Stride Adaptive Sports as well as the Shen Cross Country and Track Booster Club.
