Viewing hours to be held for former Albany official

ALBANY - Viewing hours will be held Monday for former Albany police assistant chief and chaplain Fr. James Lefebvre.

Lefebvre died early last week at the age of 83. He was appointed honorary assistant chief in 2014.

He is remembered as an advocate for civil rights and for the poor.

Viewing will be held at 4 p.m. at Saint Mary's Historical Church in Albany.
