Vigil planned in response to Albany violence

ALBANY - A vigil was planned for Tuesday night in Albany at the location where Albany's most recent homicide took place.

Khalil Barnes was shot and killed on Quail Street near 1st Street Saturday morning. He is the third person killed in Albany in the past two weeks.

The shooting scene was right outside of the Victory Christian Church's JC Club building.

Church members were organizing Tuesday's vigil, which was scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Pastor Charlie Mueller says the process has started to install surveillance cameras to monitor the corner of Quail and 1st.
