Police tell NewsChannel 13 Multari's arrest is a result of an investigation by state police and the village of Coxsackie Police Department.

It's not clear where the alleged abuse happened.

The school superintendent tells NewsChannel 13 Multari was a teacher aide, who typically oversaw students in large group settings, like the cafeteria. The superintendent says one-on-one situations were involved.

The superintendent says Multari has worked in the district fewer than five years.

A decision has not been made on Multari's job status.
