August 22, 2019 05:00 PM

The Rensselaer County Department of Health is putting out a warning about a rabid cat.

The animal was found on a farm in Stephentown. Authorities think the cat was dropped off between Aug. 12 and 16.

Two people are being treated after one was bitten and the other came in contact with the cat.

There's concern more people may have been bitten or come in contact with the cat before it was dropped off.
