West Point cadet candidate dies after fall in Greene County

A West Point cadet candidate is dead after a fall in Greene County.    

State police say they got a 911 call for a man who was unresponsive at a cliff diving location off Route 23A, in the town of Hunter.    


Their investigation revealed the victim was hanging onto a rock ledge when part of the rock broke off, causing him to fall.    

State police say the victim was a cadet candidate at the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School in West Point.    

His name has not yet been released.
