Winter storm slows down Thanksgiving travelers

A winter storm in the Capital Region slowed down travelers heading home from Thanksgiving.

The first phase of the storm hit in the Capital Region on Sunday, leaving many travelers stranded.

Despite warnings to stay home, the New York State Thruway was packed with slow moving traffic.

The weather left many regretting their decision to travel.

More snow is expected to hit the Capital Region on Monday.
