Police say a woman, who may be mentally ill, went on a spree of destruction in Troy on Monday night.

They responded to the woman's home around 5 p.m. When they arrived, she took off.

First, she hit the Dunkin Donuts on Campbell Avenue. Police say she trashed the place.

The woman then went to the Price Chopper on Vandenburgh Avenue where police say she did more trashing.

Police tell us she may have been armed with knives, but they're still investigating.

The grocery store had to be evacuated, but has reopened.

The suspect has been taken to Samaritan Hospital for evaluation.
