Schodack police are investigating a deadly accident on Route 9 near Kingman Road. Police say 61-year-old Marion Hannah was killed around 1 a.m. Saturday morning trying to cross the busy road near the Bel Air Motel where she lived.

Her boyfriend says she was heading to the Pilot Gas Station to buy a pack of cigarettes.

Officers say she was hit by a driver in the southbound lane.

According to the police chief, the driver stopped, is cooperating with authorities and will not be charged.

Hear from a neighbor who had initially offered her a ride, by watching the video of Jill Konopka's story.
