Woodstock 50th anniversary concert cancelled

April 29, 2019 04:27 PM

A concert to mark the 50th anniversary of Woodstock has been cancelled.

In a statement to Billboard, concert organizers say: "We don’t believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees."

The decision comes after a deadline to begin selling tickets came and went.

Performers already lined up included The Killers, Dead and Co, Imagine Dragons and Jay-Z.
