Tributes continue for the Queen of Saratoga
On Saturday, a wreath laying ceremony was held in Centennial Park to honor Marylou Whitney.
The philanthropist, horse owner, and socialite died Friday at the age of 93.
"She's done so much throughout the city not for profits, but for the underserved. This is where Marylou touches our personal community that people really might not know" said Mayor Meg Kelly.
Whitney contributed millions of dollars to countless charities in the city and was a founder of SPAC and the National Museum of Dance.
The Centennial Park features a statue of 'Native Dancer' that Whitney and her husband John Hendrickson donated to the city.
