GE engineer charged with economic espionage

New details were released on Tuesday about an engineer at General Electric, accused of stealing the company's trade secrets.

NewsChannel 13 told you last August that Xiaoqing Zheng was arrested by federal agents in Niskayuna.

Now, in an indictment unsealed Tuesday, he's charged with economic espionage.

Federal investigators say he hid sensitive data about Turbein Technologies in a photograph and emailed it to himself, then forwarded them to his business partner in China.
