COHOES - It's official - Mayor Shawn Morse's days in office are numbered.

Absentee ballots were counted on Tuesday, confirming what seemed apparent last week - former New York State Police Troop G Commander Bill Keeler will be the city's next leader.

After the machine votes were counted one week ago, Keeler clung to a narrow 103 vote margin over Morse. When the rest of the votes were counted, Keeler's lead actually grew by 14 votes.

Mayor Morse's tenure in office was marred by controversy, including federal charges, accusing him of stealing campaign contributions to pay for his own personal finances.
